I have finished and a whole 5 days ahead of schedule. This is the first year I did it with my family around, my Mother is the queen of pacing and hovering. The rest of the family just asked a lot of question and wanted to add their two cents in. I am thankful that I succeeded.

you are steelblue

Your dominant hues are cyan and blue. You like people and enjoy making friends. You're conservative and like to make sure things make sense before you step into them, especially in relationships. You are curious but respected for your opinions by people who you sometimes wouldn't even suspect.

Your saturation level is medium - You're not the most decisive go-getter, but you can get a job done when it's required of you. You probably don't think the world can change for you and don't want to spend too much effort trying to force it.

Your outlook on life is brighter than most people's. You like the idea of influencing things for the better and find hope in situations where others might give up. You're not exactly a bouncy sunshine but things in your world generally look up.

Writer's Block: 9/11

Where were you?

I was in Groton Connecticut...I was a Teacher's Aide and my husband was stationed at the Submarine Base in Groton. That morning I took the kid to school and did my morning duty at school but they didn't need me the rest of the day so I went home to base housing, I had just walked in the door when my neighbor called across the courtyard to turn on the tv. I immediately called my husband at work and he told me that the base was out on alert, the base was shut down, the submarines were given the order to deploy to sea. School decided to send the kids home but the school buses were not allowed on base so those kids had to go over to friend's houses till we could figure out what to do...it was organized chaos. For the next week after that trying to get on base was awful with everyone being checked and double checked.

My Birthday...

So every year seems like something always happens on my birthday...today was no different.
Kristyn my daughter always jokes with me how she is going to hire a stripper for my birthday..
Well today I am at home waiting to go to lunch with her and Jacob her boyfriend when there is a knock on the doot. I open it and standing there is a guy dressed as a fix it guy, now any other time I would not have thought anything but it is my bday so I think stripper. He is wearing nice semi tight jeans, a tool belt sitting nicely on his hips and carrying a tool box and a laptop. He wasn't young maybe late 30's early 40's starting to go gray at the temples and so my dirty mind thinks strippers until he asks me which appliance needed fixing which still not sending any red flags till I stopped looking at his outfit and at his face to realize he was really waiting for an answer to his question about my fridge not working. Turns out he was really a repair guy and he was lost.....Happy wishful thinking to me.
So I text Kristyn about the whole situation and we had a good laugh.
